Beach Days

It's the middle of winter here and we have been loving our beach days!! 

The cooler temperatures make beach visits so much more enjoyable compared to the sweltering heat and humidity of summer days. Even though it's only about 4 degressC cooler now than in summer, it feels more like 10C because of the cool trade winds we get this time of year! All of us residents LOVE IT!!

We went to Governor's Beach on Monday, it was perfectly overcast.

Yay for Beach Days

On Wednesday evening the three of us cycled to the beach for some swing time.

We were off to the beach again this morning at 9am. Jodi loved swimming with dad and getting used to having her water wings on. There was, of course, plenty of sandcastle building (by mom) and sandcastle bashing (by Jodi) and lots of fun playing with water, stones and sand in her many buckets!

  Looking forward to plenty more beach days next week.

Second time to the beach today. We just got back from a quick bike ride to the Public Beach to watch the sunset. Aaaah lovely.

It's a 2 minute bike ride directly to Public Beach from our place (that includes wait time on the side of West Bay Road for the traffic so that we can cross). We usually do a big loop (the long way round) and then head down West Bay Road to Public Beach, but today the sun was setting at 6pm and we left it a bit late so we thought we'd head directly there to enjoy some swinging time before sitting down to enjoy the beautiful sunset.
